How can we help?
Answers to common questions about MusicIsles on iPhone, iPad and Android.
Does MusicIsles work offline?
Yes. The app and its instrument sounds are on your device, so composing, playback and saving gardens all work without a connection. Only garden links need the internet; without one, you can still share the picture of your garden.
Do I need an account?
No. There is nothing to sign in to and no account to create.
Where are my gardens saved?
On your device, inside the app. Open Gardens and tap Save to name a garden; after that, MusicIsles saves your changes as you go. Your saved gardens appear in Gardens, ready to open again. They are not uploaded anywhere unless you share one.
If you delete the app, the gardens saved in it are deleted from your device too, although your device’s own backup may include them.
How do I share a garden?
Open the garden and tap Share. MusicIsles makes a postcard of your garden at its current time of day and, when you are online, a link to it on musicisles.com. Send them with your device’s share sheet. Anyone with the link can see the garden’s name on this website and open it in MusicIsles on iPhone or iPad.
The link is prepared as soon as the Share sheet opens, so it is ready to send. Our privacy page explains what is kept.
How do I stop sharing a garden?
Open the garden, tap Share, and choose Stop sharing. The link stops working straight away and the garden is deleted from our server. This works on the device that made the link.
Stopping a link cannot take back the picture you sent, or a copy someone has already kept. Links that nobody opens are deleted automatically 30 days after they were made.
Which devices can I use?
